I have numerous family members who are in the medical field, most of them nurses. My aunt has inspired me to explore the medical field, and now we both work at the same hospital! Being a nurse fulfills my dreams of being able to help people and make an impact on their lives.
I wanted to come to the University of Wyoming to meet new people, explore new places, and to have different experiences than my friends who were going to the in-state schools across South Dakota. I have three cousins who are UW alumni, and I love having the family support and connection through our college! The University of Wyoming also allows me to be closer to family in Cheyenne and the Denver area.
Having grown up in 4-H and various community organizations, a leadership program for nursing students was very attractive to me. I wanted to be part of something that could help me improve my leadership skills for my future. Aspire was the prestigious opportunity that would allow me to do just that!
