• Nursing Course Fees

  • Nursing 3840 - Program Assessment, travel fee and lab fee = $260

  • Nursing 4442 - Program Assessment fee: $150

• Expenses - Applying to the Nursing Major Component of the Program

  • CNA Certification: varies depending on where students take their course, and through which state(s) seeking certification ($500+)

  • Nursing Application Fee: $30

• Expenses - Admitted (once accepted to the Nursing Major Component of the Program)

  • Criminal Background Check: $35 [some sites require a repeat background check by the time students are ready to go into their senior clinical semester]

  • CPR certification (varies depending on where students take their CPR course)

  • Health Records (Immunizations/Screenings): $100-300 (varies depending on healthcare provider/agency)

  • Malpractice Insurance: $24-150

  • Travel/Relocation for clinical experiences: varies

  • Drug screening is required by some clinical training sites: $25-75 each

  • Nursing Nametag through UW WyoOne ID Office: $5.50

  • Uniforms/Shoes: $170-250

  • Stethoscope, Equipment: $40-320 (varies depending on quality of stethoscope)

  • Nursing Textbooks: Approximately $700-1,000 for the first semester of nursing major and an additional $600-900 total over the remaining three semesters

  • Regalia (Cap/Gown) and Graduation Announcements: $65+

  • School of Nursing Pin (optional): $30-445 - Price varies depending on quality (gold plated, 1/10 gold filled, and 10 K solid gold) and whether or not purchasing pin only or pin and BSN bar (guard)

  • NCLEX review course before taking exam (optional): $200-250

  • Licensure by Examination Application Fee, Wyoming State Board of Nursing: $190-195 (fee may differ for other states)

  • NCLEX Examination Fee: $200
