Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (FPMHNP) Clinical Track

- or the registered nurse with a master's degree in nursing

Program Overview

The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree is the new standard for advanced practice nursing education. The FWWSON has two clinical tracks: family nurse practitioner (FNP) and family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (FPMHNP) with an emphasis on rural primary care. For existing master’s prepared FNPs or PMHNPs, the school offers a post-master’s DNP option. Please review the program's unique mission and philosophy.

*several intensive on-campus sessions required; all clinical rotations must occur in Wyoming, north central Colorado (i.e., Ft. Collins, Greeley, Loveland, Walden), or southern Montana
