Advising/Registration MS

Advising Process

Upon admission to the MS program, students are assigned a nursing faculty member as their primary adviser. Questions can be directed to the Nursing Graduate Program Office at 307-766-6568 or gradnurse@uwyo.edu.

Degree Checks

  • Students in the School of Nursing utilize Degree Works (an online degree evaluation) in lieu of the Program of Study Form. Students access Degree Works through WyoWeb.

  • Degree Works is a degree/certificate progress report/advising support system that matches students' completed and current course work with their degree/certificate requirements to determine progress toward earning their degree/certificate.

  • Graduate Nursing Program staff will monitor Degree Works progression and request needed exceptions (e.g. pointing of transfer courses) based on students' programs.

Registration

All registration information will be emailed to students by the graduate nursing office.

All registrations are completed through WyoWeb regardless of the format in which the course may be offered (on campus, online, outreach).

  • Students are notified by the Graduate office via email when registration becomes available for the program courses.

  • "CRNs" (Course Registration Numbers) are needed for the registration process and are given to students in the registration notification email.

  • Once students have been notified that they have registration access, and have been given their CRNs for their courses, they can then log in to WyoWeb as follows.

    • Click on the 'Student Resources' tab and find the 'Registration Tools' channel.

    • Click on 'Health Insurance Coverage' to make a decision regarding Student Medical Insurance - make selection.

    • Click on 'Registration Status' to check for holds and eligibility to register. Any registration holds must be cleared before students can complete any registration activity (the system will not allow access prior to this).

    • Proceed with registration by accessing the 'Add or Drop Classes' link.

  • For further assistance, view an 'online audio-visual demonstration' on how to enroll in classes via WyoWeb.
