Welcome to Multicultural Affairs!!

We provide support services and information to promote retention and graduation of ethnic minorities, women, and nontraditional students at UW.

Multicultural Affairs provides leadership and advocacy at the University of Wyoming to support diversity and to prepare students to interact in a diverse world. Our work provides faculty, staff, and students interested in diverse experiences access to multiple resources.

The Associate Dean of Students supervises two components: Multicultural Affairs, and Nontraditional and Gender Programs.

Multicultural Affairs aims to serve UW's ethnic minority populations including students of African American/Black; Hispanic/Chicano/Latino; Asian American or Pacific Islander; American Indian or Alaskan Native; and bi-racial or multiethnic descent. Students of all cultural backgrounds interested in diversity are encouraged to participate in Multicultural Affairs programs.

The Nontraditional and Gender Programming component offers a number of resources for faculty, staff, and students that address Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender (GLBT), nontraditional student, and women's concerns.

If you have a question, concern, or simply need a place in which you are "free to be," please come by and visit with us at Knight Hall, rooms 114-117, or stop by the Resource Centers in the Wyoming Student Union, Rooms 103,104, and 106.
