Multicultural Affairs Tutoring Program

The Multicultural Affairs Tutoring Program coordinates tutoring services for students who are affiliated with Multicultural Affairs (MA). Students who are eligible for tutoring services through MA include:

• Ethnic minority or multicultural students
• First-generation college students
• Economically disadvantaged students

Tutoring services and other MA programs are designed to support academic success, help students stay in college, and improve graduation rates among underrepresented students.

Becoming a Tutor

Tutors must meet all of the following qualifications in order to be considered for employment with the MA Tutoring Program:

• Have received at least a 3.0 GPA (B or higher grade) in all tutoring subjects
• Be in good academic standing at UW
• Demonstrate a sincere interest in working with students from diverse academic and personal backgrounds
