Looking for a way to help or give back? One way to help is to make a donation (no matter how small-even $25 helps) to the following gifts in the UW Foundation or write in these gift account names in the "other gifts" line for annual giving.
Multicultural Affairs
Multicultural Affairs provides leadership and advocacy at the University of Wyoming to support diversity and support services and information to retain and prepare students to interact in a diverse world. Our work provides faculty, staff, and students interested in diverse experiences access to multiple resources.
Dr. Dolores Cardona UW Minority Scholarship
The UW Minority Scholarship was established in 1987 under the leadership of Dr. Dolores Saucedo Cardona with direct support from the UW Foundation Office (Esther McGann) and the Office of Student Financial Aid (Margot Joy). Applicants must currently be attending the University of Wyoming as a full-time student (12 or more credit hours) and have a sophomore, junior, or senior status. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and a member of one of these ethnic groups: American Indian/Alaskan Native, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Black/African American, or Hispanic/Latino/Mexican American/Chicano. Selection is based on demonstrated leadership, current participation in extra-curricular and community related activities, potential to contribute back to the ethnic minority community upon graduation, personal statement, and scholastic ability and achievement. We have two existing scholarships for entering students but need to build this scholarship for currently enrolled students who are here at UW and underway with their classes.
