In general, the same financial aid is available to students seeking university degrees through the UW Outreach School and students seeking degrees at UW’s Laramie campus. State-appropriated scholarships such as the Hathaway Scholarship and County Commissioners’ scholarships may be used for outreach courses by eligible students. Federal Pell Grants, Federal Supplemental Grants, Federal Work-Study, Federal Perkins and Stafford Loans, and Richardson Scholarships may be used by eligible students who meet federal and/or local requirements, as may most scholarships.
You must first file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be eligible for any need based scholarships as well as any Federal Financial Aid.
Apply online at: https://fafsa.ed.gov/
Note: A student enrolled simultaneously at UW and a community college must be enrolled for at least one credit at UW in order to receive financial aid from the University of Wyoming.
The University of Wyoming Outreach School offers scholarship programs for degree-seeking students in the Division of Outreach Credit Programs and the UW-Casper. These scholarships are made possible by a cooperative effort of the University of Wyoming, the UW Office of Student Financial Aid, the Outreach School, and private donations. Scholarships are considered a form of financial aid. Therefore, students expecting scholarships may follow any procedure describing the use of Federal Finanical Aid to defer payment until the scholarship disbursement arrives. Please visit: UW Outreach School Scholarship
