About the OVN (Outreach Video Network)
The OVN is a
videoconference system operated by the Outreach School at the University
of Wyoming. The system is an H.323-based video conferencing system with
sites spread throughout the state of Wyoming.
Although the system is primarily used for delivery of university classes, open times are available for use for a nominal fee.

Video
conferencing is a communication technology that provides the ability to
conduct multi-site, interactive video classes or meetings in many
Wyoming communities.

There are 45 OVN video conferencing sites in 20 communities throughout the state of Wyoming.
Interactive
video conferencing is one of the University of Wyoming's most popular
distance-delivery services. Video conferencing provides the convenience
of face-to-face meetings, which saves time and money.
UW
initiates more than 15,000 hours of video conferencing each year, and UW
offers more than 30 video conferencing classes at the undergraduate and
graduate level.
