Brent Pickett is an associate dean of the UW Outreach School, director of the UW/CC Center, and a professor of political science. He earned a BA from Wichita State University in 1989, an MA from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1991, and a Ph.D. from UC Boulder in 1995. His academic discipline is political science with an emphasis in political philosophy, and his research interests include postmodernism, communitarianism, homosexuality, and philosophy. Pickett has provided leadership for the UW/CC Center faculty, staff, and students since 2005.

Biography: Even though Pickett grew up on the flat lands of Kansas, he fell in love with the mountains while attending graduate school in Boulder, Colorado. That is also when he began fly fishing, which is now one of his favorite things to do. He also juggles, and has performed for numerous charity events, including ones put on by the Wyoming Medical Center Foundation, Central Wyoming Hospice, and the Mercer House.
