Epitaxial Layers of TiO₂ have been grown on single crystal substrates by atomic layer deposition. The photoelectrochemical properties of these systems have been characterized prior to and after deposition.  The epitaxial layers have shown more consistent incident photon conversion efficiency in the rutile system, and have allowed for dye sensitization of TiO₂/SrTiO₃ system.
