Pejman Tahmasebi worked under the supervision of Professor Sahimi of the University of Southern California (USC) on porous media modeling and subsurface systems for his Ph.D. Then, he joined Stanford University as a postdoc (2014) and worked on advanced statistical modeling. He worked as an associate research scientist (2015) on a project jointly between the University of Texas at Austin and USC on the development of reconstruction methods in porous media. He then conducted research at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) on granular materials in the context of geomechanics, in the Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering. He joined the University of Wyoming as an Assistant Professor.
