Energy & Petroleum Engineering

Upgraded Drilling and Completions Simulator in the EERB

Petroleum engineers are involved in all facets of oil exploration and development, from identifying and characterizing the reservoir through drilling and completion to production. Petroleum engineers find new ways to extract oil and gas from older wells. Petroleum engineers travel to where the reserves are all around the world.

Petroleum engineering often provides the highest earning potential of the engineering disciplines. New technology is continually emerging and the industry is changing rapidly to keep pace. However, it is also subject to the fluctuations in the economy. This creates an industry that is full of both challenges and opportunities.

Petroleum Products are used in all facets of daily life. Some you know, and some you hadn't thought of as petroleum-based. Click the links below to be surprised!
