Current updates about our alumni:

Shanna K. O'Connor, Pharm.D. ('09), BCPS, finished two years of residency, followed by a year as visiting faculty at UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, and is now a tenure-track assistant professor and Kelley-Ross Faculty Fellow at the University of Washington School of Pharmacy.

Amanda Thompson, Pharm.D. ('10), is a clinical pharmacist in the ambulatory care setting currently focusing on anticoagulation, diabetes, dyslipidemia and hypertension management at the Charles George Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Asheville, NC., at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Rutherfordton, NC. She went to the London Olympics to watch her brother compete in the international skeet competition. Thompson has enjoyed exploring areas in the south and experiencing SEC football. However, her heart still resides in the Midwest and she is looking forward to one day returning. She is also still a diehard fan of Nebraska and Wyoming football.

James H. Cordonier, Pharm.D. ('12), R.Ph., ANP, is an Authorized Nuclear Pharmacist and compounding specialist.

Kendra Procacci, Pharm.D. ('04), BCPS, AE-C, CPP, is an associate professor at the University of Montana School of Pharmacy. Her clinical site is Grant Creek Family Medicine. Procacci's most rewarding part of her job is being the director for Camp Huff N Puff, Montana's asthma camp. It is a week-long camp for kids with asthma. This summer was her ninth year as director. She takes pharmacy residents and students as counselors and asthma education teachers.

Chris Humberson, B.S.P. '82, has been hired as the new executive director for the Washington State Board of Pharmacy. He brings 30 years of retail pharmacy, pharmaceutical sales and marketing, and project management experiences and skills to the board. His most recent position was as a pharmacy manager.
