Reshmi Singh

Reshmi Singh's research is focused on patient engagement, health literacy, and patient-centered research to improve patient medication experiences and health outcomes. She is affiliated with the Wyoming Institute of Disabilities (WIND) and is a member of the WIND ESRN (Equality State Research Network) involved in improving patient and family engagement and hence of life of persons with disabilities.

Dr Singh's expertise, experience, and training are in Qualitative Research and Engaged Scholarship.

Overall, access and disparities by virtue of rural location are issues that affect patient ‘care-seeking’, outcomes and communities at large. Dr. Singh has previously applied qualitative methods to understand how patients (college students; long-term users) using antidepressant therapies make decisions about their medications and health. Her research agenda is to further ways and means to examine role of community engagement to improve patients’ access to healthcare. This is especially important in a rural state like Wyoming.

Dr. Singh teaches Freshman Seminar, all 4 years of the PharmD curriculum (courses include Research Methods, Ethics) as well as biomedical graduate students' Research Ethics.

Dr. Singh has been previously awarded the College Interprofessional Education Award. She is also the 2019-2020 Learning Actively Mentoring Program fellow and was selected for the LAMP Educator Learning Community in Spring 2020.
