Welcome to the University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy!

Classes of 52 students assure each student maximum individual attention by dedicated professors skilled in teaching, clinical service and research. Faculty conduct world-class basic and applied research in the pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacy practice, health-care systems, drug-delivery systems, and treatment of disease.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The primary objective of the School of Pharmacy is to provide a sound scientific, professional, and cultural background necessary for the successful provision of patient-oriented primary pharmaceutical care with emphasis on rural interdisciplinary community-based practice.

The pharmacy curriculum at the University of Wyoming begins with a two-year preprofessional program followed by the four-year professional program. The professional program consists of three years of coursework on campus and 40 weeks of experiential coursework performed off-campus.

The UW School of Pharmacy admits approximately 52 students every fall. Students in the School of Pharmacy have their own special activities and share in the congenial college community. Students may enter the professional program only upon official acceptance by the School of Pharmacy. Entry into the program is limited and competitive.

How to apply:

  • The University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy only accepts applications through the centralized application service PharmCAS.
  • Please check the UW School of Pharmacy School Page on PharmCAS for more information.
  • It is the student's responsibility to check up on their application with PharmCAS and make sure it's sent to the University of Wyoming in a timely manner.
  • We require the Pharmacy College Admission Test or PCAT...Select PharmCAS code 104 when registering for the PCAT.
  • Please check the PCAT Website for Test Dates and registration information.
