Glaucia Teixeira and Cara Harshberger Named Faculty of the Year
Glaucia Teixeira, Ph.D., associate professor of pharmaceutics, and Cara Harshberger, Pharm.D., BCOP, clinical assistant professor of pharmacy practice, were selected as Faculty of the Year by the UW School of Pharmacy class of 2013.
They were honored during the School of Pharmacy Annual Honors and Awards Banquet in May. Class President Pam Darrow and Vice President Kara Springer recognized Teixeira and Harshberger on behalf of the class for their "tireless service, leadership, and guidance to the students of the School of Pharmacy." Teixeira was named the Pharmaceutical Sciences Faculty of the Year and Harshberger was named the Pharmacy Practice Faculty of the Year Award.
Dean Linda Martin announced that Teixeira and Harshberger will be also be featured at the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Annual Meeting in July and recognized in the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education (AJPE) later this year.
