"No More" Week 2017

March 7, 2017

To all UW community members:

This week is No More Week. The University of Wyoming is part of a national effort to say “No More” to sexual assault and dating violence. I invite you to participate in several activities this week to support our fight against sexual assault.

All UW employees and students are encouraged to download the UW No More logo to add to their email signature and social media profile. The logo can be found online at the ReportIt website. I also encourage everyone to update their social media profile with our logo to support our effort to say “No More” to sexual assault and dating violence at UW.

Additionally, all university community members are encouraged to visit the No More table in the Wyoming Union breezeway through Thursday. Please take the pledge and get more information on what resources we offer at UW and in the Laramie community.

There are some specific events this week that I hope you attend.

Step Up! Bystander Intervention Training is today from noon- 2 p.m. in the Wyoming Union. Interested individuals should contact the AWARE program at aware@uwyo.edu to register. If you are unable to attend this training, there will be two more training sessions this semester. More information is available here.

The UW fraternity and sorority community is committed to doing its part to support this effort by contributing all of the 2017 Greek Week proceeds to the STOP Violence Emergency Survivors Fund. Please join us Wednesday at Roxie’s on Grand in downtown Laramie from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. for lunch. Eighteen percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Emergency Survivors Fund.

The fraternity and sorority community welcomes all to the Greek Sing Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Arts and Sciences auditorium to take the pledge to say “No More”!

No More Week is part of our new sexual assault and dating violence prevention and response initiative. Thank you for your commitment to being part of the solution.

Laurie Nichols, President
