Martha Brown Wyrsch - '80

 

Martha Brown Wyrsch graduated from the University of Wyoming with a B.A. in English. She went on to work for Wyoming Sen. Alan K. Simpson's office for three years before returning to school to earn a law degree from George Washington University in 1986. Wyrsch completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program in 2002.

Wyrsch has been president of Vestas-Americas, an affiliate of Vestas Wind Systems NS, since 2009. Previously, Wyrsch was director at Spectra Energy Facilities, LP, and Greater Houston Partnership. She also served as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary for Duke Energy Field Services. She led Spectra Energy's (formerly Duke Energy Gas Transmission) natural gas transmission, storage and distribution business, as well as its gathering and processing and liquids businesses in western Canada. Also, Wyrsch previously served as vice president, general counsel and secretary of KN Energy Inc., now known as Kinder Morgan Inc.

Wyrsch serves on the boards of directors of UW's Ruckelshaus Institute and Haub School for Environment and Natural Resources, the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America, the Greater Houston Partnership and the United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast. She also is a member of the George Washington University Law School Board of Advisors.
