Peter M. Johnson - 1972

President, Sinclair Oil Corporation oil division

Peter M. Johnson joined Sinclair Oil Company in 1979 and became president of the company's oil division in 1996. He previously worked as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate counsel for the corporation. Before joining Sinclair, Johnson worked for Husky Oil Company in Denver.

Johnson earned his law degree from the University of Denver in 1978 and has been admitted to both the Colorado and Utah State Bar Associations. He and his wife, UW alumna Paula Green Johnson, reside in Salt Lake City. In 2007 the couple donated $1 million to endow a center at the University of Wyoming College of Business.

Johnson was named the college's first Executive in Residence in 2004.
