Educational Leadership: Principal Internship

The 6 credit, 440 hour (11 week) principal internship is designed to provide master's and principal certificate students with practical school leadership experience. Students will work with principals at different grade levels. The internship comprises 3 weeks elementary, 2 weeks middle, 3 weeks high school, and 3 weeks 'other" (including district office experience). 

Students may work on their internship at any time during their program, but must complete the preliminary paperwork in the internship packet, apply to PTSB for an Internship permit, and contact their UW internship supervisor prior to commencing their internship. Internship activities are presented at the monthly video conferencing sessions and embedded in educational leadership courses.
