All proposals will be evaluated by two faculty members and a doctoral student on the planning committee. These evaluators will make recommendations to the Symposium Planning Committee, who will make the final decisions regarding proposal acceptance and format.

Scholarly Paper - Scholarly papers should examine an educational subject of current interest and place the inquiry or argument within the context of relevant scholarship or research. Proposals should include the purpose of the paper, the significance of the topic, the theoretical framework used, the method of inquiry used, a description of the literature or media addressed, and the conclusions of the scholarship. Research Paper - Research papers should report on original empirical research on an educational phenomenon or practice. Proposals should include the purpose of the paper, the significance of the research, the theoretical and/or analytical framework used, the methods used for data collection and analysis, research findings, and the implication for further research, policy, and/or practice. All research methods are welcome.
