After earning an AA in Illustration at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, Cindy worked as a bicycle mechanic and raced bicycles prior to moving to Laramie in 2007 for the outdoor opportunities. After moving to Laramie and working as a bicycle mechanic and ski tech at a local shop, she came to the UW Outdoor Program and is currently our Bicycle Mechanic (USAC Certified), Ski Technician, Trip Leader, and Office Assistant while also working on her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. She also has her own guiding business, Doin’ It Outside, offering everyday people the opportunity to learn how to safely and respectfully enjoy the Wyoming outdoors through a variety of professionally guided adventures. Believing in giving back to her community, Cindy also uses her NICA & USA Cycling Coaching licenses, and Wilderness First Responder training in order to be a volunteer coach for the local high school mountain bike team.
