Claire Lukens leads hiking, backpacking, and snowshoeing trips for the OP. Originally from Seattle, she has worked in outdoor education for over ten years, leading trips for Garfield High School and Passages Northwest in Seattle, Colorado College, and the Opal Creek Ancient Forest Center in Oregon. Her passion for the outdoors and general science dorkiness have taken her to Japan, Costa Rica, Alaska, New Zealand, and all over the western US. She is currently pursing a PhD in Geology, between skiing and backpacking adventures.
