Outdoor Program|Campus Recreation

Sam was born in Houston, Texas with long red hair and weighing over ten and half pounds; over the last 21 years not much has changed. Sam grew up in Casper, Wyoming and is very proud to call Wyoming his home. Sam has always had a passion for the outdoors whether it's been fishing, hiking, climbing or biking. Along with being passionate about the outdoors Sam also enjoys teaching, hanging out with friends, and making new friends; in his opinion there is no better place to do these things than in a back country setting. Sam is a graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) as well as the OLDS (Outdoor Leadership Development Series) program offered through the University, he has also spent the last two summers working for the Wyoming Conservation Corps. Sam has an outgoing personality with a good sense of humor; he tries to learn something new everyday. He is currently working on getting his degree in History Education, and although History is his main focus, he tends to argue that by the time he graduates he will also have a master's degree in table-tennis.
