Honors Graduation

Fall 2021 Graduation Deadline - December 10, 2021

The Office of the Registrar, in conjunction with all undergraduate colleges, operates a computerized degree evaluation system through software called DegreeWorks. The DegreeWorks system contains many useful tools for tracking your progress towards degree and planning your path towards degree completion.

DegreeWorks includes a degree progress report/advising support system that matches your completed and current UW course work (and any transfer courses you might have) with your degree requirements to determine your progress toward earning your degree. The Degree Evaluation audit powered by DegreeWorks is available on WyoRecords to students and faculty advisors.

To access your Degree Evaluation, log on to WyoRecords and find the tab for Registration. A link for Degree Evaluation will be listed under the Registration options. This link will direct you to the audit of your requirements within DegreeWorks.

The Degree Evaluation does not apply to students who entered the University prior to fall of 2009. The students should contact the Office of the Registrar to have the audit updated to reflect requirements in effect from before fall 2009. If you have questions about your Degree Evaluation, please contact your advisor for assistance. You may also contact the Office of the Registrar by calling (307) 766-5272 or by coming to the West Wing of Knight Hall.

Be sure to log into WyoRecords to declare your anticipated graduation date. Please stop by our office for assistance, or contact us at You will need to notify the Office of the Registrar if your anticipated graduation date changes.

Graduation/Diploma Information

NOW - All undergraduates must declare their graduation dates by logging into WyoRecords.

Effective early October 2019, the $25.00 Graduation Fee will be charged onto a student's account during the semester they anticipate graduating, a few days after they have declared a graduation date through their WyoRecords account.

October 26, 2021 - Your name will be printed on your diploma as it appears on WyoRecords, unless you tell us differently. Likewise, the diploma will be mailed to your permanent address unless you tell us differently. You may check both of these through WyoRecords. If you would like to change either one, you may stop by the Office of the Registrar or contact us at Any changes must be made by this date.

December 10, 2021 - All course requirements must be completed, including main campus classes and courses through Distance Education.

December 10, 2021 - Any financial obligations with the university must be cleared. If you have a financial hold on your records, you cannot receive copies of your transcripts and your diploma will not be sent to you until the obligations are satisfied.

December 10, 2021 - If you are taking courses at another academic institution for your degree, all official transcripts must be received by the Office of the Registrar by this date. For the transcripts to be official, you must request that the transcripts be sent directly from the institution to the University of Wyoming Office of the Registrar.

December 10, 2021 - Any incomplete grade ("I") must be removed and a grade assigned by this date or you will not graduate in this term.

When the degree verification process is complete, degrees will be posted to student records.

3 Months After Graduation - Diplomas will be mailed to those students who successfully met all graduation requirements. Students who did not successfully complete requirements will be notified in writing and will be provided with a change of graduation date form.

Any change in your graduation date should be reported in writing immediately to your Degree Analyst.
