3010. Research from a Distance. 1. [L<>{none}] Students locate, evaluate, and synthesize free and fee-based information resources used in academic and work environments, with a special focus on accessing information remotely. Course assignments are customized to student's academic major and career goals. Students discuss ethical and legal issues surrounding information use. Prerequisite: ENGL 1010 or equivalent, junior standing. 

3020. Managing and Navigating the World of Information. 3. [L<>{none}] Prepares students to be knowledgeable consumers of information in our global, high-tech society. Skills taught will enable students to locate and manage information resources, preparing them for university level research and life after graduation. Prerequisite: WA.
