Do you supervise full- or part-time employees at UW? Are you faculty? Equal Opportunity Report and Response (EORR) conducts training on UW Regulation 4-2 (Discrimination and Harassment) and 4-3 (Title IX and Sexual Misconduct). Please note, this is different from the online Everfi training required for all employees. The in-person training, now named "Make the Call," is highly recommended for managers and supervisors, including all faculty, and has been well received by those who have already attended. This training session is important for two reasons:
Please review the list of trainings in the Oracle Learning Center.
Sessions are usually held in the Bureau of Mines Building Conference Room 207, but please review the date/time/location information carefully when registering. General info (parking, what to bring, etc) is available here. For more information or for assistance with registering, please contact us via email (report-it@uwyo.edu) or by calling 766-5200.
Many departments have requested an online alternative to in-person training. This is especially helpful for employees who aren't located on the main UW campus. You can now complete a series of three online course as an alternative way to complete the training.
We strongly encourage people to attend an in-person session whenever possible. This type of training is most effective face-to-face, and you have the ability to ask questions and discuss as we go. The in-person classes are also not what you'd expect - they're actually fun and entertaining, and evaluations often comment that it's one of the best classes participants have ever attended!
To register for the online alternative, look for "Make the Call (Online Learning)" in the course catalog.
If you have problems registering, please call (x5200) or email our office (report-it@uwyo.edu). Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
You can look up your own training records by logging into the Oralce Learn Center. Click on "My Transcript" to see a list of all courses you've taken at UW and when they expire. Training records for those who completed earlier versions of our training have been loaded, so you'll be able to check your "old" classes too, even if they've expired! These courses will be listed as "Make the Call" followed by a number.
Equal Opportunity Report and Response has developed a diversity session that is available to all of campus as well as community partners. "Putting People First: The Wyoming Way" is not what you typically think of when you hear "diversity." The session is engaging, fun, and interactive. Our dynamic session uses conversation, music, and humor to have an honest discussion about why diversity is important, how it affects us all, and how everyone is diverse. We don't focus on what you should or shouldn't say, political correctness, or blaming people for previous biases. The session is usually two hours, though a longer, more in-depth session is also available for staff retreats, etc. Please call 766-5200 or email if you are interested in a session or have any questions!
For more information on diversity training for employees and search committee consultations, please see the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training page.
Looking for info about the training that the Title IX Team receives? The Title IX regulations that became effective in August 2020 included a requirement that institutions publish the materials they use when training individuals who are part of a sexual misconduct investigation and resolution process. To review these materials, please visit the Title IX Team Training page.
