Training from EORR

Do you supervise full- or part-time employees at UW?  Are you faculty?  Equal Opportunity Report and Response (EORR) conducts training on UW Regulation 4-2 (Discrimination and Harassment) and 4-3 (Title IX and Sexual Misconduct).  Please note, this is different from the online Everfi training required for all employees.  The in-person training, now named "Make the Call," is mandatory every 3 years for managers and supervisors, including all faculty, and has been well received by those who have already attended.  Employees who attended training of this type prior to 2015 may need to attend a refresher course.  The requirement to attend a training session is important for two reasons:
  • UW is committed to ensuring that the workplace environment across campus conforms to the policies contained in UW Regulations 4-2 and 4-3; that is, one that is free of discrimination and sexual harassment.
  • Under current law, the University may be liable for the actions of its managers and supervisors if they have not had proper training regarding UW's policies prohibiting sexual harassment/discrimination and if they do not take appropriate and immediate action to prevent or correct prohibited behavior.
REGISTERING: You can register for a session on your own by logging into WyoWeb and opening the Employee LearnCenter.  Open the full Course Catalog and select the "Diversity and Equal Opportunity" section.  You will see a list of courses, including in-person sessions for "Make the Call" and "Make the Call 2."  Click on the link for the session you're considering.  Please review the date, time, and location information to make sure this works with your schedule!  Once you confirm this, click on the link in the Enrollments section at the bottom of the page.  You will see another screen that confirms the same session information. You can click the "Enroll" link at the top or bottom of the page.  If your schedule changes you can follow the same steps to "Drop" the course later, but we ask that you do so as soon as you know there's a conflict because many of our sessions have waitlists. If you have already attended our basic session but it's time to renew your training requirement, we strongly encourage you to enroll in the "Make the Call 2" session.

Online option available!

Many departments have requested an online alternative to in-person training.  This is especially helpful for employees who aren't located on the main UW campus.  You can now complete a series of three online course as an alternative way to complete the training requirement.

We strongly encourage people to attend an in-person session whenever possible. This type of training is most effective face-to-face, and you have the ability to ask questions and discuss as we go.  The in-person classes are also not what you'd expect - they're actually fun and entertaining, and evaluations often comment that it's one of the best classes participants have ever attended!

To register for the online alternative, look for "Make the Call (Online Learning)" in the course catalog.  Click on the blue plus symbol (+) on the right side of the screen to "Add Plan" to your training list.

If you have problems registering, please call (x5200) or email our office (  Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Need to find out when you last attended?

You can look up your own training records by logging into the Employee LearnCenter.  Click on "My Transcript" to see a list of all courses you've taken at UW and when they expire.  Training records for those who completed earlier versions of our training have been loaded, so you'll be able to check your "old" classes too, even if they've expired!  These courses will be listed as "Make the Call" followed by a number.

Other Training

Diversity Sessions

Equal Opportunity Report and Response has developed a diversity session that is available to all of campus as well as community partners.  "Putting People First: The Wyoming Way" is not what you typically think of when you hear "diversity."  The session is engaging, fun, and interactive.  Our dynamic session uses conversation, music, and humor to have an honest discussion about why diversity is important, how it affects us all, and how everyone is diverse.  We don't focus on what you should or shouldn't say, political correctness, or blaming people for previous biases.  The session is usually two hours, though a longer, more in-depth session is also available for staff retreats, etc.  Please call 766-5200 or email if you are interested in a session or have any questions!
