The RPC is the technology transfer office for the University of Wyoming. It also has an outreach mission to assist any Wyoming entrepreneur or inventor across the state. The RPC supports Wyoming individuals and organizations in technology transfer - the protection, marketing, and ultimate transfer of their intellectual property to industry.
The Wyoming SBIR/STTR is there to assist all qualified Wyoming small businesses and individuals in accessing the funding opportunities provided by the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs; ~$2 billion annually!
Wyoming has also created a unique opportunity, the Phase 0 Program providing up to 24 awards annually of $5,000 each to assist Wyoming small businesses in the preparation of competitive Phase I SBIR/STTR proposals.
The Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC), branded as Wyoming Entrepreneur, is a department of the University of Wyoming. The "center" consists of multiple offices throughout the state with business consultants who provide basic business education through consulting, classes and webinars, publications, web services (wyen.biz), and referrals to related agencies.
The SBDC also includes the Wyoming Marketing Research Center (MRC) which offers free market research reports. And, the Wyoming PTAC (procurement technical assistance center) that assists businesses who desire to sell products and/or services to the government.
The Wyoming Technology Business Center (WTBC) is a new business development program that focuses on high growth oriented companies with an emphasis on technology at the University of Wyoming. The WTBC was created for the development of a technology oriented business incubator within its 30,000 sq. ft. facility on the campus of the University of Wyoming. Business incubators have been proven to help small businesses succeed in the crucial first stages. Expert guidance, combined with shared resources, helps facilitate an ideal setting.
