The
Honors House is a special living option offered in a collaboration between
the
Honors Program and
Residence Life & Dining Services.
Located on the corner of Fraternity Row and 15th Street, the Tudor-style landmark was built in 1940. Recent extensive renovations include new bathrooms; new electrical, heating and plumbing; an elevator, new furnishings and more. On the main floor of the house there is a formal dining area and sitting room along with a 2.5 story great room and fireplace. Both double and single rooms are equipped with single beds that can be lofted or bunked, a desk with hutch and chair and a three-drawer wardrobe. Honors students residing in the Honors House will have the option to purchase a 7-accesses per week Dining Plan or greater to be used within the Washakie Dining Center.
Those
wishing to live in the Honors House must be admitted to the Honors
Program and also must submit an application to live in the Residence
Halls (write "Honors House" in the "Special/Academic Interest
Communities" section of the application). Applications received by the
first week of June will be given priority consideration when assigning
rooms in the Honors House. The Honors
Program is responsible for assigning rooms in the Honors
House.
