Welcome to Residence Life & Dining Services at the University of Wyoming! Living and dining on campus are valuable experiences that allow students to meet new people, develop relationships, and integrate living and learning.
Freshman Interest Groups (FIGs) and other Living/Learning Groups are designed to support your interests and academic pursuits. A FIG is a group of no more than 20 students with similar educational goals who take selected classes together and share a common living arrangement. Find out more about FIGs and Specialty Floors...
Incoming UW freshmen are required to live in the Residence Halls for their first academic year. For more information on the first-year live-in requirement, and exceptions to the policy, please visit our New Student Live-In Policy page.
Additional Residence Hall Resources:
The Residence Halls are also an option for non-freshmen. In addition, Crane Hall houses students of sophomore standing and above and features all single rooms with queen-sized beds and provided micro-fridges. These features, along with the option to select a dining plan with fewer accesses to Washakie per week, allow for a more independent living environment appropriate for continuing students while still retaining all the conveniences and benefits that come with living in the residence halls.
Incoming transfer and graduate students also have the option of applying to live in Bison Run Village or the UW Apartments:
Dining plans are available to all students, including residents of the UW Apartments.
