LGBTQIA+ Housing Resources

Residence Life & Dining Services is committed to meeting the needs of all students, to the best of its ability, by providing an inclusive, respectful, and safe living environment. We want your experience living on campus to be a positive one, where you can make connections and take advantage of the many great things the University has to offer. As a LGBTQIA+ student, you may have questions about what living in our communities might be like for you. Please refer to the resources and policies below, and let us know how we can help ensure that you are set up to have the best possible experience when you arrive on campus.

Policy on Equal Access to Restrooms and Other Facilities

It is the policy of the University of Wyoming to provide equal access to restrooms, locker rooms, or changing facilities to all members of our community. Individuals are able to use University of Wyoming restrooms, locker rooms, or changing facilities in accordance with their gender identity. In addition, single-use family/gender neutral restrooms can be found at these locations, per the Rainbow Resource Center.*

Students living in the residence halls are given access to restrooms on their assigned floors.

*All-gender restrooms are located in the main lobbies of White Hall, Downey Hall, McIntyre Hall, and Orr Hall.
