Project Proposal Information

Project Proposal

The Wyoming Conservation Corps is dedicated to accomplishing natural resource projects throughout the State of Wyoming.

  1. Project Proposal “Short Form” [Word Doc] – please submit (via e-mail) to our office by February 15th, 2017 if you would like to apply for assistance from WCC next year.  Our program will be structured around the number of proposals we receive, so this early indication of interest is quite valuable.
  2. Project Proposal Form [Word Doc]  – Use this form to make a full application to WCC for next season. This information will enable us to prepare for your needs and determine if WCC can accommodate your project. Please submit your proposal by March 15, 2017 in order to receive full consideration for next season’s program.
  3. Instructions [Word Doc] - Information to assist in the completion of the Project Proposal Form. Feel free to call with your questions.
  • Two Field Crew services will be available:
    • 8 person crews “Full Crews” – composed of 2 leaders and 6 crew members. $11,500 per 10-day hitch. These crews are equipped with a vehicle, cargo trailer, camping equipment and most of the tools needed for the project. 8 person teams welcome local volunteers, but are able to complete projects with minimal support.
    • 4 person crews “Fall Crews” – composed of 1 leader and 3 crew members. $6,600 per 10-day hitch. Theses crews can act as a facilitator for a project to be substantially completed by local volunteers. With their own vehicle, camping gear, and tools, a Mini Crew will assure progress – with or without volunteers on a daily basis. These crews can serve to keep the project on track, teaching skills to volunteers and maintaining a safe work place. This may also be a good choice for smaller projects.

What types of projects do WCC crews do?

  • Build new trails, clear and maintain old trails
  • Fuels Reduction
  • Fencing (all kinds)
  • Habitat Enhancement
  • Wetlands Restoration
  • Historic Property Maintenance
  • Timber Management
  • Energy Impact Reduction

WCC has specialty tools and machines available to help the crews be more efficient. Chainsaws and equipment are standard issue for all teams.

Please get in touch if you would like to explore possibilities. We can provide planning assistance throughout the late fall, winter, and early spring to help you estimate and finalize your project.
