About the Student Activities Council


The Students Activities Council is a group of UW students that program concerts and events for all UW students. All UW students are welcome to be a member of the council. SAC usually plans a weekly event on Wednesday, many times in the Union or A&S Auditorium. These events are almost always free and open to everybody.

Misson Statement:

ASUW Student Activities Council shall strive to provide quality programming which promotes student development.

Student Activities Council consists of several committees:

  • Concerts and Music Committee:
    This committee shall provide programs that expose UW students to diverse and entertaining musical performances.
  • Comedy and Variety Committee:
    This committee shall bring entertaining and unique comedy and variety programs to the UW Campus.
  • Lectures and Speakers Committee:
    This committee will bring interesting, educational and/or entertaining speakers and lecturers to the UW campus.
  • Community and Family Programs Committee:
    This committee will provide programs that enhance, inform, educate and/or benefit the UW and Laramie Communities.
  • Films Committee:
    This committee will provide UW students with films that are entertaining, educational and /or thought provoking.
  • Marketing Committee:  This committee is responsible for all aspects of advertising and promotion of the council and council's activities and programs.SAC meets every Friday at 12 noon the Campus Activities Center in the basement of the Union. Just stop by for one of the meetings, we will be glad to have you aboard. Join SAC.

for motivated, hardworking students to join Student Activities Council to insure diverse ideas are always flowing and so that we can cater our events to meet the needs and wants of all students on campus.
