Wyoming Sensory Biology Symposium

August 20th-22nd, 2020

UW-NPS Station, Grand Teton

The Wyoming Sensory Biology Symposium is a yearly symposium at the UW-NPS Station. It will bring together scientists and leaders from the sensory biology field to discuss the most recent progress in the field. The symposium will assemble a highly interdisciplinary, international community to share data, new ideas, and techniques; articulate the challenges facing the field; and strategize steps to overcome these challenges. Our collective wisdom will help provide novel insights into the biology of sensory and related systems. We will also discuss ways to use these novel insights and tools to advance our ability to treat neuro-psychiatric diseases.

This year, the areas of focus are:

  1. Sensory Systems, Sensorimotor integrations
  2. Cortex, Thalamus, Striatum and other subcortical centers
  3. Translational Studies: Pain, and Epilepsy Research
  4. Development, Plasticity, and Aging
