The Virtual Science Posse is made possible through the use of the educational conferencing software known as Blackboard Collaborate/Elluminate Live! This software allows us to project a video image of the presenter as well as the material being covered directly into your classroom in real time.
Here are some of our ideas. We'd love to hear yours!
Individual or small group science fair project development sessions.
Pre-visit planning sessions with teachers when creating a specialized lesson.
Pre-visit sessions to provide background knowledge and prepare students for the actual visit.
Post-visit sessions to discuss results. (This would allow time for teachers and students to analyse data gathered during the Fellow's visit.)
