Jason D. Hendryx

Jason D. Hendryx is an assistant professor in the Department of Secondary Education at the University of Wyoming, where he teaches courses in world language methods and pedagogy. He taught Chinese at the United States Air Force Academy (2008-10) and trained Chinese language teachers at National Taiwan Normal University (2010-13) before coming to the University of Wyoming. Jason has over 10 years experience teaching English as a foreign language in China and Taiwan, 10 years experience teaching Chinese in America, and almost 10 years experience involved with the training and professional development of language teachers in both America and Taiwan. Jason has presented at conferences in America, Taiwan, and Cambodia. He has published articles concerning Chinese heritage learners and student group formation strategies for teachers in language classrooms and is currently working on a number of articles related to language teaching and learning. In addition, Jason serves as a reviewer for proposals for To Improve the Academy, a POD journal, and has reviewed for Linguistics and Education.
