Linda Hutchison

Ph.D., University of Washington 1992M.A., Stanford University 1986Credential, Humboldt State/Stanford University 1979B.A., Humboldt State University, California 1978 Linda Hutchison is an associate professor in the Department of Secondary Education at the University of Wyoming, where she teaches courses in quantitative reasoning and mathematics pedagogy. Dr. Hutchison just finished her final year of an eleven-year term as the department head of Secondary Education. While at UW, she has secured over three million dollars in grants and contracts to continue her research in mathematics teacher education, mathematics education, and integrating technology into mathematics teaching. She has researched professional development in mathematics for rural teachers both in Wyoming and New Zealand. Dr. Hutchison has published in Arithmetic Teacher, Mathematics Teaching in the Middle School, Early Childhood Education Journal, Encyclopedia of Mathematics Applications, and Teacher Education Quarterly.
