Purpose

The Energy Resources and Produced Water Conference, convened by the University of Wyoming's Ruckelshaus Institute and the School of Energy Resources, intended to advance the understanding of current research and monitoring projects related to the management, treatment, protection, and use of water associated with energy development in Wyoming and the West. The conference covered produced water issues from various types of energy development, including oil, gas, coalbed natural gas, coal mining, uranium, and carbon sequestration.


Keynote Speaker

John Veil, Manager of the Water Policy Program, Argonne National Laboratory, Washington D.C., a U.S. Department of Energy Laboratory, was the keynote speaker.
