Undergraduate Scholarships and Fellowships

Scholarships and fellowships open to School of Energy Resources students are shown below.  Fellowships provide students the opportunity to participate in an undergraduate research experience.

AAPL Landman Scholarship Trust

The AAPL Landman Scholarship Trust is open to students majoring in Petroleum Land Management at the University of Wyoming.  Applications must be submitted to AAPL on or before February 1, 2014.

  • Download the application packet
  • Applicants must be a student member of AAPL.  AAPL applications are available in the SER Academics Office.
  • Applicants must be a member of the Wyoming Student Chapter of Professional Land Managers
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or great and have earned at least a 3.0 GPA for the previous semester

Wyoming A.P.L. Scholarship

Students majoring in the University of Wyoming Professional Land Management program are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

BP Discovery Days Program

BP Discovery Days program exposes students to BP and the energy industry. Students will be able to cultivate critical career skills, build leadership and networking competencies and lay an early foundation for success after graduation.

BP IST Sophomore Experience

BP IST Sophomore Experience is a weeklong event that offers a closer look at energy commodity trading and related career opportunities within BP's Integrated Supply and Trading.

  • Selected students will be offered a mix of presentations, trading simulations, case studies and networking opportunities.
  • There are no degree requirements, and the event is an all-expenses paid program with travel and accommodation being provided.
  • The program is targeted to sophomores who will be rising juniors as of June 2014.

Graduate Student Fellowships

University of Wyoming

New students applying to the University of Wyoming will automatically be considered for one of UW's general scholarships based on their previous academic work. Visit the Admissions Office scholarships web page for details.
