Undergraduate Scholarships and Fellowships

Scholarships and fellowships open to School of Energy Resources students are shown below.  Fellowships provide students the opportunity to participate in an undergraduate research experience.

AAPL Landman Scholarship Trust

The AAPL Landman Scholarship Trust is open to students majoring in Petroleum Land Management at the University of Wyoming.  Applications are currently closed.

  • Applicants must be a student member of AAPL.  AAPL applications are available in the SER Academics Office.
  • Applicants must be a member of the Wyoming Student Chapter of Professional Land Managers
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater and have earned at least a 3.0 GPA for the previous semester

Wyoming A.P.L. Scholarship

Students majoring in the University of Wyoming Professional Land Management program are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Applications are currently closed.

Permian Basin Landmen's Association Scholarship

Permain Basin Landmen's Association awards tens of thousands of dollars in scholarship money eacy year.  Students in the Professional Land Management concentration are eligible to submit applications for their scholarships.  Applications are accepted each year from January 1-March 31.  Visit their website for more information and to download a scholarship application.

Graduate Student Fellowships

University of Wyoming

New students applying to the University of Wyoming will automatically be considered for one of UW's general scholarships based on their previous academic work. Visit the Admissions Office scholarships web page for details.
