Dr. KJ Reddy is a Professor of Renewable Resources and Associate Director of Academics for the School of Energy Resources. He received his Ph.D. from Colorado State University. He is an internationally recognized scientist for his research on capture and mineralization of anthropogenic carbon dioxide, arsenic removal from water, and coalbed methane energy. He also worked extensively with energy areas including surface coal mining, coal power plants, and uranium and oil shale industry. Dr. Reddy has published extensively in national and international journals, and holds one U.S. patent.

 

Research Interests:
Mineral Carbonation of Aklaline Solid Wastes: Sequestration and Mineralization of Carbon Dioxide from Coal Combustion Flue Gases; Arsenic Geochemistry, Groundwater Quality and Removal Technology; CBNG (CBM) Produced Water Biogeochemistry, Water quality, and Beneficial Uses; Evaluation of Best Management Practices (BMPs) to Protect Groundwater Quality from Non-point Source Pollution; Coordinated Agricultural Water Quality Program for th Northern Plains and Mountains Region
