Conference Overview

The University of Wyoming School of Energy Resources and the College of Law's Center for Law and Energy Resources in the Rockies are once again excited to bring together stakeholders with collaborative interests to engage in a thought provoking discussion on key energy topics currently at play in Wyoming, the region and the nation.  This one-day symposium has an exciting line-up of speakers sure to facilitate robust discussion on issues warranting attention for securing a sustainable natural resource future.

Topics of the 2016 discussion include:

  • Public Land States in the 21st Century
  • Update on Regional Energy/Natural Resource Litigation of Interest
  • Changing Energy Markets, A New Reality

After submitting your registration, a confirmation message will be sent to the email address you provided.  A final agenda, conference information and confirmation letter will be emailed to all attendees shortly before the event.

CLE, AAPL Credits

The conference anticipates credit approval by the American Association of Professional Landman (AAPL) for 6-7 RL, RPL or CPL recertification credits and 6-7 CLE credits by the Wyoming State Bar or Colorado Supreme Court. AAPL and CLE credits will not be given directly by the conference organizers and is the responsibility of the participant to contact the AAPL, Wyoming State Bar or Colorado Supreme Court to obtain the credits.


Group rates are available for sleeping rooms at the following hotel in Laramie.  Please see details below regarding how to book a room.  A credit card will be required to secure your reservation.  Please familiarize yourself with the hotel’s cancellation policy to avoid cancellation fees.

Attendees can fly into Denver International Airport ( located 150 miles away (a 2.5 hour drive) or into the Laramie Regional Airport ( located 7 miles away (a 15 minute drive).
