  • Infrastructure:
    • 19 active coal mines, 7 coal-fired power plants
    • 10,618 producing oil wells, 411 companies/operators, 59 rigs, 6 refineries (approximate)(WYOGCC, 2012)
    • 28,292 producing gas wells (WYOGCC, 2012), 278 gas companies/operators (WDOR, 2012)
    • 14 wind energy facilities, approximately 957 turbines
    • 1 uranium in-situ facility
  • Total State Assessed Valuation  of oil, coal and natural gas in 2011 (CREG, 2012): $15.6 billion
  • Net electricity generation: 3,940 thousand MWh
  • 2nd lowest electricity price in U.S. at 6.2 cents per kilowatt-hour
