Renewable Energy Summit

renewable energy summit

Former Governor Bill Ritter gave the keynote address for this event on Sunday, June 12 at the Hilton Garden Inn Ballroom in Laramie, WY.

The University of Wyoming Center for Photoconversion and Catalysis, Wind Energy Research Center and School of Energy Resources hosted a Renewable Energy Summit at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming from Sunday evening June 12 through Tuesday afternoon June 14.

The purpose of the summit was to bring together the solar and wind energy communities, including science and technology development through “big picture” policy and management perspectives, for a timely overview of the current state and future direction of renewable energy development.

The summit began with an optional tour of 7 Mile Hill wind farm on Sunday afternoon followed by a keynote lecture Sunday evening given by Bill Ritter, former Governor of Colorado and the founder and director of the Center for the New Energy Economy (CNEE) at Colorado State University.
