Effective fall semester 2012, a No Show Fee of $25.00 is charged to any student who has an appointment with the Student Health Service and does not keep the appointment or cancel the appointment 24 hours prior to the appointment. The $25.00 will be charged to the student's UW account.
The Student Health Service recognizes that students may have unexpected medical situations for which they lack adequate resources. Monies collected from the No Show Fee will be available to students who have an exigent medical circumstance requiring additional funding. This fund is not for routine medical expenses. An application can be downloaded and the student can contact the Director of the Student Health Service at (307) 766-2130 for possible assistance.
Support received from this fund is not a loan, but students are requested to repay the fund if possible so that money is available to assist other students in the future.
