The SIF is taking precautions for COVID-19 by following University of Wyoming, state, and federal guidance to ensure the safety of our technical staff.
- Equipment reservations are scheduled to maintain proper social distancing in the lab. To see available times for current equipment please visit our reservation page. All staff who can are working remotely.
- To hand deliver samples researchers must call 307-766-6373 to schedule a time and confirm the procedure for safe delivery of samples to the lab.
- The mailing procedure for shipping samples to the University of Wyoming Stable Isotope Facility using on-campus and external mail services (FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc) has not changed. Please follow the links on on our contact and mailing page.
- Staff and students working in the lab are taking the following social distancing and sanitizing measures:
- Hand washing when entering or exiting the lab
- Sanitizing keyboards, doorknobs, utensils, etc. after each use
- Work stations are set up so that they are all 6 feet apart, and as much as possible only one staff member is present in a lab room at a time.
- Masks are worn unless staff are in a room by themselves.
- When possible, staff are working in shifts so that the fewest number of individuals are in the lab at one time.
All staff should review information in the following web link from the University of Wyoming for addressing COVID-19 response and work-related activities:
