Service, Leadership & Community Engagement
Our Mission

SLCE Mission

Through dynamic, collaborative partnerships with students, faculty, staff, and the broader community, SLCE provides high quality opportunities, both inside and outside the classroom, for student involvement, leadership and personal development, community activism, and reflection.  SLCE prepares students to turn spirit and passion into effective action!

The Service, Leadership & Community Engagement Office promotes service, leadership development and community engagement opportunities for all University of Wyoming students. We accomplish this by offering programs and resources for individual students, support and training to RSOs, staff, faculty, and community organizations, as well as campus-based programs, and voter education.

We provide resources for academic courses and research opportunities in service-learning and leadership studies and the implementation of a service-learning methodology for UW faculty. We assess current levels of student involvement and engagement and promote SLCE programs as a means to recruit and retain students at the University of Wyoming.

The SLCE office is located in the lower-level of the Wyoming Union. The student leaders and staff in the SLCE office work to assist students to develop their leadership capacity and involvement opportunities on campus and in the community; the student leaders and staff help students make a difference while at the University of Wyoming.
