Developing and Integrating Wyoming Coal Lessons into a High School Science Curriculum
Students need to understand the role mining plays in the state's economy and its effects the environment which may in turn affect their quality of life. Teaching high school students about energy, and particularly about coal, is a critical step in making sure students are knowledgeable about their energy use and its impact on the environment. Through comprehensive energy curriculum, it becomes evident the role fossil fuel consumption plays on the environment and economy of Wyoming.
