In the space provided below, describe in detail your responses to the following questions. Your responses to the three questions will be viewed as a writing sample and will play an important role in the evaluation of your application. Clarity in the presentation of ideas and your ability to write at a graduate student level will be considered. Responses should be thoughtful, clear, well-written, and reflect who you are as a teacher and a colleague (approximately 3-5 paragraphs).

2) What would you do if you could structure how you would teach middle-level mathematics in any way you want? What would a visitor see if they came to this class that you just described?
 
3) What strengths would you bring to a cohort of teachers organized around middle-level mathematics? What strengths would you bring that would demonstrate your ability to be a successful candidate?

Scholarships are contingent on available fund and will require a letter of appreciation to the donor. The award of a Scholarship is not a prerequisite to be accepted to the SMTC Summer Math Program.
